Zhejiang Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences is a government-affiliated institution approved by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government. It was built by Zhejiang Province, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Jiaxing City. Its predecessor is Jiaxing Applied Technology Research and Transformation Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The Institute is based on the technology and talents of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and its affiliated institutes. It aims to break through the core technologies of major industries and lead local future industries. It faces international competition and promotes the economic and social development of the Yangtze River Delta region.
Over the years, Zhejiang Institute of Advanced Technology，Chinese Academy of Sciences ，has been committed to industrial applied technology research, strategic emerging industry cultivation and transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements. It has continuously organized forward-looking industrial technology and applied research and development，to promote the transformation and scale of scientific and technological achievements of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in the Yangtze River Delta.
In addition, by building technology demonstration and incubating platforms, jointly deploying and implementing projects, and jointly developing personnel training , the Institute has strengthened technology innovation and integration with demand traction to meet the needs of enterprises for new technologies and achievements， will promote the common development of both parties.
While making use of the superior location and transportation conditions of the Yangtze river Delta, the Institute has made full use of the advantages of regional systems, capital advantages and market advantages, and has made major contributions to the cultivation and development of local high-tech industries, the adjustment of industrial structure, and the training of talents.
The Institute of Solid State Chemistry and Mechanochemistry is one of the oldest institutions of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The Institute has four buildings in the Science City and the city center of Novosibirsk. There are 203 staff members, including 98 researchers. There are four research laboratories, including solid state chemistry, mechanical chemistry, materials science and processing of minerals and plant materials,have more than 60 invention patents.
The Institute was founded in 1944. In 1997, the Institute was renamed the "Institute of Solid State Chemistry and Mechanochemistry", and the Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician Rayahoff, was elected as the director. At present, the Institute is very active in cooperation with Russia and abroad and is at the forefront of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The main research direction of the Institute:
1）、Solid Chemistry: The main research areas are solid activity, chemical reaction mechanism and kinetics, mass transfer and other ion exchange reactions, etc;
2）、 Mechanical Chemistry: It mainly studies the strengthening of chemical processes, the ecological control of chemical processes and the synthesis of mechanical and chemical reactions;
3）、 Material science: Preparation of highly active and dispersive materials by mechanochemistry, preparation of nano-materials and nano-phase composite materials, coating and modification of powder materials, preparation of plasma oxide materials and composite materials, etc;
4）、Mineral and plant raw material processing: Mainly using mechanical chemistry and mechanical activity method for the preparation of non-catalytic phosphorus-containing fertilizer, preparation of instant aspirin, preparation of biologically active humate.
